The Office of Corporate Relations

The Office of Corporate Relations (OCR) is focused on creating transformational partnerships centered around collaboration, engagement, access, and impact. OCR is the core of the university’s campus-wide corporate outreach vision and is committed to the Howard Forward Strategic Plan pillar to Serve the Community while fulfilling the various needs of our corporate partners.

We engage students, faculty, programming, and curriculum to inform and advance business goals around five strategic areas of mutual benefits: student engagement, philanthropy, diversity, equity and inclusion, executive and employee engagement, and in-person and virtual experiences. Howard University’s strategic philanthropic opportunities include internship and full-time employment (FTE) opportunities, scholarships, fellowships, naming rights, and other branding opportunities. OCR takes a personalized approach to partnering with corporations by working in tandem with our partners to increase campus visibility and engagement with Howard students and the various HU communities while creating positive and deliberate change.

Sponsorships are an opportunity for your corporation to financially support a Howard University event or initiative.

We partner with corporations to create virtual and in-person engagement opportunities for students centered around corporate exposure, recruitment, professional and personal development, leadership development and other engagement activities.

We are focused on closing the gap between employers and our students. We work with corporate partners to create HU-specific internship opportunities, provide opportunities for students to meet with corporate recruiters, and post unique opportunities on Handshake.
